What a night at the new and beautiful Observer Ranch in Penrose, CO—a space that’s pushing the boundaries of what you typically expect to find in rural Colorado!

Our May RGYP meeting brought together a fantastic group of young professionals for a conversation with Daniel Halsey, a consultant with United Designers International. Daniel shared insights into the world of permaculture design, blending concepts of sustainability, systems thinking, and long-term planning—not just for land, but for life and business.

His approach showed how the principles of permaculture can be applied far beyond agriculture—offering a new lens for how we think about flexibility in career paths, continuing education, entrepreneurship, and designing environments that support both people and place.
